Halloween Nails: Day 6

6 Oct

I wanted to do something with candy for Day 6. I’ve been craving for some Kit Kat bars lately so it was only natural I wanted to stamp some candies on my nails.

I call this “Trick N’ Treating for Halloween Candy!”

Halloween Nails: Day 4

4 Oct

Today’s October 4th and this means Day 4 for my personal Halloween nails challenge! I wanted to try something different for a change so I had this idea to do a look that had some bare trees on it. So the nails I came up with is an abandoned forest or a magical forest home of a witch or Baba Yaga.

Some of you may know I’m Russian. As a kid I was scared of Baba Yaga folklores. She is a scary witch that lived in a chicken-legged hut on the edge of the forest.

Anyway, here’s the nails for today!

Halloween Nails: Day 2

2 Oct

Good morning! Here’s Day 2 of my personal Halloween nails challenge. I decided to do the flesh rip type of nails. Skin, blood and gore! This is perfect for Halloween. Right?

I have never done this type of look before. I was worried it wouldn’t come out right but much to my surprise, this was the easiest thing to do! So much grotesque fun!

Color Blocking with the OPI’s Miss Universe 2013 collection

15 Nov

I love this new trio by OPI! It’s the Miss Universe 2013 collection. The colors in this collection are: I’m Feeling Sashy, This Gown Needs A Crown & Miss You-niverse.

Since it was a trio, I knew I had to use all three for some color blocking nails!

Color blocking nails was a breeze to do! I’m heads over heels for these three colors.

On the left is I’m Feeling Sashy. It is a dusty medium purple creme. Perfect two coater. Formula was great and I’m a sucker for purples!

In the middle is This Gown Needs A Crown. Holy polish! This is the best silver glittery foil I ever tried in my life. I only had to do two very thin coats for full opacity. Everyone needs This Gown Needs A Crown in their collection. It comes with a cute crown charm and I think it’s perfect because it’s truly the jewel of this delightful trio! This applied absolutely flawless and dried to a smooth finish.

On the right is Miss You-niverse and it’s a dark plum creme. The formula couldn’t be any better. One coat was enough for full opacity. I used only one coat of Miss You-niverse in my color blocking nails.

Here’s another picture of my color blocking nails with this trio.

Would I recommend this collection? Yes. I give this collection 5 out of 5 stars. I have a feeling that I will need to get a back up of This Gown Needs A Crown. Overall, I’m very happy and excited about this collection.

Today’s Nail Art and More

8 Jul

This is a simple post.

I just did these nails tonight. I used OPI’s Don’t Pretzel My Buttons (2 coats) and some black striper nail lacquer to do these random heart-shaped leopard / leopard prints. How do you like it?

Here’s another nail art I did from few days ago. This one I used two coats of Azature’s Pink Diamond (with absolutely no undies underneath. It is very sparkly and I think this color is my favorite by Azature).

Goodnight beautiful people. I cannot wait to show you my upcoming posts for this week.

OPI’s Absolutely Alice

26 Jun

I had this HTF (hard to find) polish sitting in my untrieds for well… a little too long. When I heard one of my amazing friends from the nail community on Instagram had Absolutely Alice as one of her long-time lemmings. I told her that I would swatch this ASAP and send it to her because I knew, in my heart, the odds of actually using this polish again was very slim. Absolutely Alice deserves to go to someone just as amazing and that would be Drema of Stardust Polish.

Meow meow … Bean Juice’s Once In A Blue Moon

4 Apr

Meow! How do you like this? So sorry for my short nails. I broke my one of my nails yesterday and had to file the rest back. That was definitely a sad day for me.

Polishes used: OPI’s Can’t Find My Czechbook (from the Euro Centrale collection), Orly’s Liquid Vinyl (my favorite black for stamping), and Bean Juice’s Once In A Blue Moon. Stamping plates used: BM-201 and BM-04. I’m loving the Once In A Blue Moon! The tiny blue holo glitter’s formula is adorable! Formula is great. This was one coat over black. You can find Bean Juice’s polishes at her etsy shop at: http://www.thecrafthouseofbeans.etsy.com
