I had so much fun doing Halloween nails for the whole month of October. I thought that I should continue doing a similar type of daily nail challenge but not for a whole month. For the next few days I’ll be doing nautical themed nails. Here’s the first one!
My nails are growing to an acceptable “nub” length. I cannot wait for it to get a little bit longer. I have truly missed swatching, reviewing and painting my nails! Here’s my nails tonight:
So here’s what I’ve used for today’s manicure. As shown in the picture below from left to right, they are:
Femme Fatale Cosmetics: Sparkling Sands
Stardust Polish: Always Pays His Debts
Essie: Good As Gold
All of my fingernails with an exception to my accent nail have been painted with Stardust Polish’s Always Pays His Debts and stamped with Essie’s Good As Gold. I used Cheeky’s Jumbo Plate 2. It is the tropical holiday themed plate.
This is two coats of Stardust Polish’s Always Pays His Debts. This polish has been discontinued and it is from her Game of Thrones collection. It’s a bit on the thin side however coverage isn’t an issue at all. It’s a rich sheer-jelly shimmery red polish with these medium gold and small holographic gold glitters in it. Here’s a closer look at Always Pays His Debts.
It’s so festive and it made me think of Christmas! Naturally I wanted to pair it up with some gold to dress the manicure up a bit. My favorite gold to stamp with would be Essie’s Good As Gold. It’s so easy and foolproof!
On my accent nail is Femme Fatale Cosmetics’ Sparkling Sands. Sparkling Sands is a shimmery gold base with all these various gold glitters in all shapes and sizes. Femme Fatale Cosmetics is hands down one of my favorite Australian indies! Sparkling Sands in here is three thin coats to full opacity. It is nearly opaque in two coats but by the third coat it was entirely covered. I love love love this so much! So gold and so sparkly!! Application was a breeze. This is the PERFECT gold glitter polish for those seeking full coverage!
Isn’t it lovely? Here’s a better look at Sparkling Sands.
I’m absolutely smitten with with Sparkling Sands! What do you think of this manicure? I hope you like it as much as I do!

At dinner last night, I had a very sad nail casualty with a potato peeler when I was trying to peel some potatoes. My pointer fingernail got caught in the peeler and I made a wrong move. Suddenly, the peeler chipped off a good chunk off my pointer fingernail. What’s a girl to do?! I marched right into my nail room (yes, you read that right. I do have a “nail” room in my house. In this room, there are four helmers full of polishes and some other bins full of nail care items as well as a manicure station, a lovely computer desk, a very comfortable chair and a sofa.) Anyway, I clipped and filed my nails back. I decided that there was no better way to rock my short nails other than painting them black.
Short sexy black nails are IN! Bye bye long nails!! Now you know I couldn’t just leave it at plain old boring black nails. I needed something so magical. Something oh so very enticing. Something entrancing. Ok, I know I sound like a witch right now trying to find a spell. Prepared to be spellbound!
Doesn’t that make you go ooooh and ahhhh? Did I cast a spell on you? Is this a case of déjà vu? Continue reading

I’m tickled pink by this amazing holo polish by Stardust Polish that is, ironically, called I’m Tickled Pink. It’s from her new Feelings collection. I took these pictures not too long ago and now I am finally sitting down to do this review.
I’m So Blue is from Stardust Polish’s new collection, Feelings. I’m So Blue is a baby blue tinted base with holographic shimmer.
