Luscious Potion’s Thermals (from the Shifting Spring collection)

20 Jun

It’s my birthday today!! I am absolutely thrilled to be able to share with you guys these stunning thermals. I recently had the opportunity to swatch these four thermals from Luscious Potion’s Shifting Spring collection the past two days.

Talk about perfect timing: four A-M-A-Z-I-N-G thermal polishes + celebrating my birthday = the perfect birthday blog post if you ask me! 🙂

Anyway, these four thermal polishes all have a little touch of scattered holo dust to them. These colors are Sunshine Orchard, Vanishing Petals, Sky Meadow and Blooming Dreams.

Sunshine Orchard is this amazing color changing holo thermal that is chartreuse at room temperature and turns into this gorgeous rusty sunset orange. In the bottle, it does not appear to be chartreuse. It looks more like a darker shade of mustard yellow. When I painted my nails with Sunshine Orchard, I went “OH MY GOD! CHARTREUSE!” This has won me over instantly. Chartreuse, in my opinion, is a color that is often overlooked. It’s so beautiful, bright and vibrant. Sunshine Orchard is such a perfect color for the springtime and the summertime. I can also see this being fabulous for the fall too! The subtle touch of scattered holo dust was a very nice finish touch for Sunshine Orchard. The formula was perfection. You couldn’t get any more perfect than this. Two coats to full opacity. Dries to a matte finish. I put on a topcoat to give this a glossy look. I give Sunshine Orchard 5 out of 5 stars! Pictures of Sunshine Orchard below.

It was amazing to see it slowly fade back to this chartreuse color.

Vanishing Petals is this lovely color changing holo thermal that is silver-grey at room temperature and turns into this beautiful fuchsia pink when exposed to the cold. I’m heads over heels in love with Vanishing Petals. I absolutely love this color combination of pink and light grey. This stunning thermal is another must-have in my book. Vanishing Petals also has the subtle touch of scattered holo dust just like the other three thermals from this collection. The formula is perfect to the tee. I am wowed by Vanishing Petals. Two coats to full opacity. Dries to a matte finish. I used a topcoat to give this a glossy look. I give Vanishing Petals 5 out of 5 stars!

Sky Meadow is a color changing thermal that is fern green at room temperature and turns into this denim blue when exposed to the cold. The colors do compliment each other nicely. Sky Meadow also has scattered holo dust. The formula was slightly thick but not problematic. I also found that for some unknown reason, the shift from denim blue back to denim blue took a bit longer (maybe 30 seconds longer?) than the three other thermals. Again, this is not a problem. Two coats to full opacity. Dries to a matte finish. I used a topcoat to give this a glossy look. I give Sky Meadow 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Blooming Dreams is a color changing thermal that is an orchid pink at room temperature and turns into this lovely shade of purple when exposed to the cold. I adore this color combination. Blooming Dreams also has scattered holo dust. Two coats to full opacity. Dries to a matte finish. I used a topcoat to give this a glossy look. I give Blooming Dreams 5 out of 5 stars.

Would I recommend these thermals from the Shifting Spring collection? YES! I give the thermals from this Shifting Spring collection 4.5 out of 5 stars as a group. This is, in my humble opinion, Luscious Potion’s BEST polishes. The formula in all these four thermals were great. Application was a breeze. All colors were opaque in two coats.
