Different Dimension’s Wish You Were Here

29 May

Today I have for you a polish whose holographic glitter has rendered me speechless. Wish You Were Here is from Different Dimension’s new Pink Floyd inspired collection called Echoes. Wish You Were Here is also a name for both the song and the album by Pink Floyd. I can’t seem to find the words to explain how awesome Wish You Were Here is. I feel like I have to put in some sort of disclaimer to warn readers of potential drool-fest.

DISCLAIMER:I am not responsible for any potential drooling, lusting after, screaming out “OH MY GOD I NEED TO HAVE THIS!” and your wallet hating you after you running out to her Etsy shop to buy this baby up.
Feast your eyes on this macro of the glitter inside the bottle.

Wish You Were Here is a clear base that is packed with all these mesmerizing glitter. These large holographic circles steal the show. They change color depending on the angle of the light reflection. There’s also small circles, squares and micro-glitter. All these comes in various shades of fuchsia, blue, pink and silver. I wanted to paint this glitter over some sort of gunmetal grey to showcase the glitter better. This is two coats of Essie’s Over The Edge (which happens to be one of my favorite gunmetal grey colors) and two coats of Different Dimension’s Wish You Were Here.

Are you drooling now? Think you can handle more? I loved Wish You Were that much that I also swatched it on top of a different color. This time, I used Royally Yours by L’Oreal Paris from their Versailles Romance collection (Spring 2013 limited edition). This is 3 coats of Royally Yours and only one coat of Wish You Were Here. I had wanted to show you what it would be like on a lighter color and what one coat of Wish You Were Here looks like. Here’s five pictures for you to drool even some more on!

Do you like it on top of a darker color or a lighter one? Which one do you like better – 1 coat or 2 coats of Wish You Were Here? Let me know 🙂

Would I recommend this? With my dazzling nails, I scream: “YES! YES! YES!” I give Wish You Were Here 5 out of 5 stars. The formula was better than perfect! I was actually pleasantly surprised by the ease of application. The glitter coverage was good – it dispersed evenly on my nails. I actually turned the bottle upside down for one minute to help unsettle the larger glitter pieces. I did not have to do any glitter fishing or placement. This makes me a very happy girl!
