Nail Sauce’s Romance Shmomance

6 Feb

Need a break from all the lovey-dovey Hallmark stuff for Valentine’s Day? Feeling Valentine Shmalentine about the holiday? Who needs a Valentine when you have Romance Shmomance? You know you need this. Romance Shmomance is from Nail Sauce’s Valentina collection. It is the anti-valentine polish to have.

Romance Shmomance has some holographic dust and black shredded glitter in a rose pink-dusty mauve sheer base. Shown here is three thin coats. Opacity was achieved at two coats on its own. With this polish, it is a matter of personal preference as to how many coats you would want to put on. The more coats you put on, the darker the sheer color will become. Here’s another picture:

Application was easy! I was surprised by how well the shredded black bits stayed suspended in the polish. It is common for similar shredded glitter indie polishes to sink down a little bit. Needless to say, I was pleased with glitter coverage. No fishing for glitter or glitter placement. I am loving this shredded black glitter sprinkled with some holo goodness look. It makes me think of cold shattered hearts that turned black.

Here’s another picture. This time, I decided to show you what Romance Shmomance would look like with one coat on top of another color.

The first two fingers on the left have two coats of Nails Inc’s Sutherland Street and one coat of Nail Sauce’s Romance Shmomance on the top. I chose Sutherland Street because it was the closest color possible to the color shown in the Romance Shmomance bottle. On the last two fingers on the right, I used two coats of Nails Inc’s Elizabeth Street and topped it off with one coat of Romance Shmomance. I chose this color to show you what it would look like with a brighter colored undie.

Would I recommend it? Yes! I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Application was ideal. Glitter wasn’t an issue. What you see in the bottle is what you get on your nails. I love it. You could use it on its own or with an undie. Personally, I love it on its own. Soft in color and yet the black shredded bits makes it bold. The holographic dust makes a very nice final touch.

So go ahead, dust that little dusty dark heart of yours off and set your eyes on this baby right here. Who needs a Valentine when you’ve got this shredded glitter polish? Show the world you may be shattered, be all anti-valentine but you still can shine!

Gorgeous! Great review and very pretty polish! I like it best on its own but Sutherland is such a good undie… think I need this in my life! ❤

I don’t think Sutherland Street by Nails Inc is available anymore. I just checked both Sephora’s & Nails Inc’s websites. Both aren’t showing this color anymore. It’s really gorgeous. I do agree with you it is a very color to use as an undie with this Romance Shmomance.
