I cannot believe today’s the last day of January! Valentine’s just around the corner. This spankin’ new collection by Nail Sauce, Valentina, is just perfect for the holiday! I recently received the entire Valentina collection for review. I thought I would start with Just Add Love.
Just Add Love is a milky strawberry smoothie pink base with small white hex glitter, small red glitter and red medium sized dot glitter. Shown is three thin coats. Opacity was actually achieved at 2 coats but I wanted to add another coat to make it more interesting by adding more dimension with the glitters.
The trick to these type of crelly-glitter polishes is making thin coats and allowing each coat to dry before adding another coat. Often, I see girls make the mistake of painting thick coats on and not allowing themselves to see the benefits from layering it up with thin coats for awesome nails.
Since it’s not glitter packed, I was actually impressed by glitter coverage. I did not have to fish out for glitter or do any glitter placement. It’s not a glitter explosion but it is more than adequate for a soft girly romantic look. Here’s another look at Just Add Love:
Seriously love this shade of pink. It reminds me of a strawberry smoothie with little strawberry bits! My daughter says it’s pinkalicous! Pinkalicious indeed. Nail Sauce’s use of small white hex glitter for this Just Add Love was well chosen. These little white glitter bits actually help with building this layered look to give it some suspended dimension. I love it!
Would I recommed this? Yes! Opacity wasn’t an issue with two perfect coats. You could also put on a pink coat then top it off with Just Add Love. May I recommend OPI’s Strawberry Margarita? Yes, this polish got me all strawberry obsessed today. Application was good. Remember, the key to achieving this perfect look is thin coats! I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
