Eicyats Nails’ 55 Chevy

31 Jan

Do cars and nail polishes go hand in hand?

I say yes! Let me show you this new beauty, 55 Chevy, made by Eicyats Nails. I have been following Staycie on instagram for a while. You can find her on there @eicyatsnails. Staycie came up with this 55 Chevy during her frankening attempts and this has gotten popular enough that she decided to start selling them! I see big things for Eicyats’ nail polishes especially her duochrome ones. Her 55 Chevy is an amazing duochrome.

Isn’t that gorgeous? It shifts from blue to a deep purple effortlessly. You cannot miss this color shift. This is unlike many other duochrome polishes where you have to have light hit a certain angle to see the duochrome shift. Here’s another picture!

You see that? See how the color shift is streamlined? It’s so smooth. Smooth like a bad-ass ’55 Chevy Bel Air made for stylin’ cruising.

I had asked Staycie why she had named this 55 Chevy. She explained that she used to have a ’55 Chevy Bel Air with this kind of color. (you can insert the most epic drooling here – that car must have been beautiful! I, for one, would have loved to cruise around in such a classy car with some touch of spunk to it) Hang onto your seat girls! Let me take you for the ride of your life. Here’s some more pictures for you to see!

Let’s get down to business. This duochrome is far better than the brand name polishes out there. This is NOT watery. It is also NOT streaky. The consistency was perfect. It does take two coats for full opacity. It is recommended that you wait for the 1st coat to completely dry before adding the 2nd coat to prevent dragging paint from the first coat with the brush. The smell was a bit strong but then again it is expected as Staycie mentioned she used a bit of automotive paint for this beautiful duochrome.

Would I recommend it? Yes, this polish is definitely made for keeps. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. This is a very impressive duochrome! The only thing that is missing is a ’55 Chevy Bel Air with this kind of paint job for me to drive with my matching nails on its chrome steering wheel.

You can find this beauty at http://eicyatsnails.bigcartel.com/ I also recommend you to follow her @eicyatsnails on Instagram to find out when the next restock of these 55 Chevy babies will take place.

Although I am not a fan of duo chrome polishes, reading your review and seeing all the gorgeous pictures of this polish has me second guessing myself! Thanks for your honest, well executed review.
