I placed a large order of Glitzology’s indie polishes and received them recently. Among the polishes I bought from Glitzology was this bottle of Purple Rain. Purple Rain is part of Glitzology’s “Artist Formally Known As….” collection. This Purple Rain is jam-packed with various hues of purple (think everything from lilac to dark purple), magenta & silver glitter. There’s also some small and medium hex shaped glitter in there! Her shipping was very fast and the polishes were wrapped safely in bubble wrap. I loved how she included her business card in the order along with a sheet of nail polish tips to get the most out of this and any other polish. She mainly discussed the best methods of removing glitter polish as well as the importance of using a base coat. It is clear that the the creator, Stacy Boyd, cares about her customers!! Good job Stacy!!
Now onto the manicure and review of the polish. For this manicure, I used Essie’s Play Date and topped it off with Glitzology’s Purple Rain. The polish itself is a thick however I did find the thickness to be very useful. I only had to use one coat of Purple Rain to achieve FULL opacity on my ring finger. The application was very easy! The glitter didn’t slide around so much like some other crappy indies out there! For other fingers, I decided to add french tips using Purple Rain. The french tips did take few coats because I had to somehow do small globbing slash swiping to achieve the look. I really love it! I can’t wait to review the other polishes I have by Glitzology! Would I recommend this polish? Oh hell YES especially you purple lovers out there – this is the purple glitter explosion polish you need in your purpl-icious collection! I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars!
